UX & Web Designer | Copywriter | Aspiring Photographer
I'm a UX & Web Designer based on Vancouver Island, BC. I believe my psychology degree and many years of customer service experience will contribute to success in the Design industry, as I bring prior knowledge of research methods, cognitive psychology, and a customer-centred attitude to design thinking problem solving methods.
I’m also an engaging and versatile writer and editor, experienced in a variety of digital marketing strategies including SEO, social media management, and content marketing.
I excel at forming relationships upon a foundation of efficient communication, and I have a passion for learning new skills. I'm interested in health and nutrition, environmental issues, culture and mental health, motivation and emotional intelligence, among others. I'm intrigued by the potential to reach people through digital design, technology, and marketing.
I consider myself compassionate, a critical thinker, creative and determined. I'm always looking for ways to do things better.
A deep thinker from a young age, I have always analyzed the status quo to ask “why?”. This curious nature carries over into my work as a designer, allowing me to seek creative solutions to problems by thinking outside the box.
I am a deeply compassionate and empathetic individual, with a degree in Psychology. Combine this with a social nature; I intuitively understand what users want and need. This translates into designs with higher impact.
Weird animal noises in the morning? Unconventional, always-changing hair? Most definitely. I love trying new things, being weird, and exploring the world of color and visual design.
Failure is no deterrent to me. As a lifelong athlete, I’ve learned to persevere in the face of adversity. I will be the teammate to always rise to take on challenges - no matter how difficult they may be. This attitude permeates throughout my professional work in design.
